Saturday…my last one in the UK! Seriously I can’t believe how fast the past 28 …
Day 26 – March 18, 2015
The sun, the sun, the sun!! Finally! Now I completely appreciate the British people’s obsession with the weather!!
Found the Cotteridge Post Office this morning after a brisk 15 minute walk to collect a small package (a bottle of vitamins left at my friends’ home in Peopleton!). Had a friendly chat with the Postmaster and then I was off to catch my number 11C. Feeling quite at home now! It really is amazing that when we are away from our normal abode, we can become quite implanted into our ‘new community’ even while still being aware of what is happening back at home … makes me think that this is almost like living in ‘multi-dimensional realities’… not so far-fetched after all? Must be all this mind expanding talk about quantum linguistics and physics on Master Prac!
As Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “A mind stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions!” Today’s sessions were all about the ‘base’ – the foundation of what drives human behaviour – Values! We looked at what they are, their importance, the Clare Graves value systems thinking, Universal Model of Change, Values Levels (1-8) and their meaning.
One of the important discussion points was the fact that although societies and humans evolve through different values’ levels, no level is intrinsically better than the other; the question is really about their appropriateness in relation to the existing environment and the goals of the individual.
Fascinating that NLP can assist persons to ensure that their values and beliefs fully support their success in all areas of their lives!
