This is a tough one as a lot comes down to personal preference. We have explained some of the things that we considered (and still consider) when we booked our first NLP course.
This is very important as you are making a major investment. Course prices vary dramatically usually from about £900 to £2500. Look for what is exactly included in price e.g. VAT, it may be left off to make the price look more appealing. Look at what you actually get for your money. Are all training materials included? Does the price include meals and car parking, as these can add up to a large additional expense. Is the price of certification to a Professional body included? How much pre and post course support is provided?
If the price is too good to be true, guess what? It is too good to be true. It may only cover the basics which may leave you a little disillusioned. Check it out fully, get value for money.
Compare like with like
Some courses only contain NLP. Others contain multiple certifications.
You will see a range of different courses certifying to a number of different Associations. The important thing is to compare like with like. One tip is to search the market and make a spreadsheet of what is important to you to see who and/or what you prefer. We will not say who or what we see as being best, as we believe that all NLP trainings have their merits with no one training or Association being able to prove that they are the better than anyone else. The ethos of NLP is that there is no one right way to do anything and it is about the outcome. You always need choice and flexibility to achieve the required outcome and that is what all of the NLP providers give.
Look at the number of delegates on a course and the ratio of trainers and coaching assistants to delegates. This is essential so that you get the support that you want, when you want it. Smaller groups can guarantee the right level of support and interest in you as an individual.
How long should the course be?
Again this varies between providers it will usually be between 7 days and 21 days. Those days will then be offered in a variety of formats with some being all classroom based and others offering home study and classroom. Whatever the length or format you should check out which certifying body’s standards the training provider is training you to meet. This will guarantee that you are receiving a recognised syllabus. A lot will come down to your personal preferences considering; how much time you have available, how quickly you want to get the course completed and how you learn best.
What sort of support is offered?
If pre and post course support is important to you ask what is offered. Support can be very important in preparing for the course, being able to gain advice quickly alleviates concerns. Likewise when you have finished the training, support is essential as you will probably have more questions and may require help to accomplish your goals.
Speak to the trainers before enrolling.
The trainer is the most essential part of your NLP experience and can make the difference between you being an ok NLP Practitioner or an Excellent NLP Practitioner. Make sure that you speak to the trainer before enrolling. Look for their experience in the training environment. Check what qualifications they hold. How approachable do they feel? Do they sound knowledgeable? You are making an investment, invest wisely.
Good question. You should train with us as we offer you the most up to date, fun, all inclusive, dynamic learning experiences in NLP at an affordable price. We have many years experience in the Learning and Development field and combine this with what we have learnt from one of the best in the NLP world, Dr Tad James, to bring you NLP in the accelerated format.
You will leave us being able to immediately put all of the techniques learnt into practice being an Excellent NLP Practitioner. We offer you multiple certifications as we know the power of NLP alone is amazing yet when combined with Time Line Therapy™, Hypnosis and a Coaching framework you get more choice and flexibility to produce extraordinary results. You gain 4 Internationally recognised certifications at Practitioner level and 5 Internationally recognised certifications at Master Practitioner level.
We specialise in the accelerated format as we believe that it integrates all learning styles and allows you to learn more effectively. It also saves you time and money. We keep our overall training numbers down and our course groups small so that we can offer you the one to one support that you deserve, before, during and after your course. We make it a whole developmental experience rather than just another training course.
We limit our student numbers and the number of trainings that we offer to provide an all inclusive individual developmental experience. We concentrate on the Midlands area so that we can provide excellence in everything that we do. If we have the capacity we will run courses in other locations of the country, contact us and we will discuss it with you.
You can either call us on 0121 632 2120 or send us a General Enquiry on the Contact Us page or click on Enrol on the Training Schedule page, if you have a date and course in mind. Though we now offer a ‘book on line’ service we believe it is essential to talk to you first to ensure that the course is right for your needs and goals.
Once your enrolment is confirmed by us receiving your deposit; we will send you comprehensive joining instructions, your pre course study materials and your invoice/receipt. For more comprehensive details look for the relevant course on the Courses & Training page.
In the case of the Practitioner and Master Practitioner course we require a non-refundable deposit, this is to cover the cost of your study materials and our administration.
Final payment for your course is due 30 days prior to the course start date. In absence of payment by the due date, we may consider the booking cancelled. In which case you keep the training materials and we retain the deposit.
We understand that things do not always go to plan so if having made a booking and you have paid either a deposit or your agreed course price in full, you then wish to transfer to an alternative course, this must be done not less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the original course date and is subject to the availability and numbers on other courses.
If you need to transfer course dates within 6 weeks of your booked course date all special offer or package prices applied to your booking cease to apply due to the increased logistical and administration costs incurred and your new agreed course date will be charged at full website price. Your full course payment is required to be paid prior to the start of the original course date before the new course date is confirmed.
Your amended attendance has to be made within 12 months of the original course date.
If having made a confirmed, fully paid booking, you fail to attend the course or choose to attend only part of it, no refund is payable.
In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel a course for which you have made a deposit or fully paid booking you may transfer to an alternative date to take place within 12 months of the cancelled course. In these circumstances The Taylored Life Company will take all reasonable steps to accommodate your wishes as to a suitable alternative. If after reasonable efforts by both yourself and The Taylored Life Company it is not possible to agree an alternative booking you may claim a refund of the course fee less the non-refundable deposit.
The Taylored Life Company will run any course, as advertised; subject to there being 3 fully paid bookings in place failing this it will be cancelled. We will, where possible, not cancel a course in these circumstances less than 14 days before it is scheduled to start.
The Taylored Life Company also reserves the right to cancel any course, at any time, prior to commencement due to other circumstances beyond their control which make it impossible for them to operate to the planned schedule. In either case, if a course is cancelled for which you have made a fully paid booking you may transfer to an alternative date to take place within 12 months of the cancelled course. In these circumstances The Taylored Life Company will take all reasonable steps to accommodate your wishes as to a suitable alternative. If after reasonable efforts by both yourself and The Taylored Life Company it is not possible to agree a amendment to your booking you may claim a refund of the course fee less the non refundable deposit.
The Taylored Life Company is not responsible for the loss of any incidental expenses you may have incurred as a result of a cancelled course such as travel and accommodation costs.
As our courses use the Accelerated format, pre course study is an essential element. You will be sent full instructions of what is required and coached by Mark or Nicky through the process. You will listen to a set of CDs that are linked to training manuals and support books. The time taken to complete the work is very much dependent on the individual and is usually around 50 hours. This is an excellent way in which to start gaining knowledge so that you spend more time putting things into practice at the live training.
Yes absolutely. The Accelerated format uses NLP and associated techniques to teach the material which will make learning easier. You will also have Mark and Nicky’s assistance to support you through the learning.
As part of the pre study element of the Practitioner and Master Practitioner courses there is an open book test. You do this at the end of the pre study and before you attend the live training. You have as long as you wish to complete the test and if you are stuck just contact either Mark or Nicky. You will be amazed at how much you have learnt by this time. During the live training, assessment for certification is carried out by trainer observation and you will be given feedback on your progress.
Under usual circumstances we train from 9.30am to 5.00pm. We also offer, as part of our commitment to you, extra voluntary sessions either before or after the core working hours for subject revision should you require them. These extra sessions are included in the price of your course.
You will be trained by Mark and Nicky. We always aim to double train in order to give you maximum support although on some occasions this may not be possible. Mark and Nicky are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and well qualified trainers who will always give you maximum commitment and deliver excellence. For more details, see the video testimonials, the written testimonials, and the About Us section.

No. All of our courses are assessed against criteria laid down by our certifying bodies – you will get copies of these in your training manuals. It is our intention and desire that you pass and we will do everything in our power to assist you to do this. You will appreciate that a course where everyone automatically passes renders the certificate and your effort almost worthless.
During the live training element of the course, we will monitor your progress and give you feedback. If we have concerns about whether we can certify you, we will discuss this with you during the course and agree how best to assist you reaching the required standard. In the rare case that someone does not meet the standards, we will suggest specific tasks to be completed after the course to assist them in demonstrating to us that they have reached the necessary standards at some agreed point in the future.
The simple answer is, yes. To be eligible for and to take full advantage of the development opportunities offered by the Master Practitioner course you need to be certified to Practitioner level in NLP, NLP Coach, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis to the standards recognised by our certifying bodies. If you do not have all of these certifications, please contact us and we can help you to achieve them.
This is a really good question; we found the whole issue of certifying bodies very confusing and conducted extensive research to come to a conclusion.
We found that the world of NLP and Hypnotherapy is largely self-regulated with a number of Associations and bodies setting up their own standards for membership and certification.
We discovered very quickly that there was a need for personal interpretation of the differing bodies and the choice would be down to aligning ourselves with organisations that shared our values of excellence and vision of attaining the highest standards whilst assisting people to become Excellent NLP Practitioners.
For more information about our certifying bodies visit this page.
Yes we do but only on request. If you would like to be trained in these areas call us on 0121 632 2120 or send us an enquiry via the Contact Us page.
